The gig today (04/03/2009) in Budapest was absolutelly great! oh, Looord…
March 4th, 2009 at 22:52There were full house and the standing audience clapping for minutes.
Great success for a great man. Thank you.
In a few words: full house at MüPa, enthusiastic audience, a perfect show, touching moments, and standing ovation at the and.
For me Jon Lord (The Maestro) is the world’s greatest musician (I started the piano because of him), so it was a great pleasure to see him in Hungary again (last time he was here with Purple on the Abandon tour back in 1998). As we all know: he is a real gentleman, who was in a very good mood yesterday, rockin’ the Hammond (impressive solos – of course), enjoying himself, and makin’ some funny comments (“I wrote the Concerto 40 years ago, which means I must have been 5 years old then”).
Thank you Jon – and not only for this concert, but for all the years!
