Deep Purle in Ravensburg, Germany.I am from Austria and I`ve seen Purple for the fifth time in my life and they were just fantastic like the audience, about 5.000 people, which gave a warm welcome to the band, which only ended, when the show was over about two hours later (The woman, which was on the show with me, has seen Purple for the first time in her life and could`n`t believe how good they were)! What I want to say first is, the members of Purple are such wonderful musicians as they are as humans, far away from this stupid drug/alc image from some other rockbands, they really don`t need that to be taken serious as musicians. I`m now 52 years old and I love this band since about 1970 and it`s a very good feeling, that they are still there! But now to the concert, Ian Gillan, which in my opionon has as a singer always the hardest part, was in absolute topform and kicked out his voice very well in the high parts, no question that Ian Paice is the best rock drummer on planet earth, Roger Glover plays the most elegant bass, Steve Morse plays his guitar superbe and with great enjoyment and full of surpriseparts just to get back in the song again and not to forget Don Airey, who fits very good to the band, full of humour and musical competence. The only thing I would wish for concerts in the future are more titels from the “Rapture of the deep” CD and of course I`d wish a new studio CD from Purple (I swear I buy it on the very first day in the shops, like all others before (-:)Thank you Deep Purple for everything and stay on doing the things like you did before!!
