JLT on Rockin’ Metal Revival
Joe Lynn Turner spoke to Rockin’ Metal Revival promoting Rated X, although the interview (seemingly inevitably these days) slid onto the Rainbow reunion path.
There does not seem to be a way to provide a direct link, so you’ll have to select episode RMR 121-2 manually by selecting playlist icon in the player above. The interview section starts around 18:15 into the episode and lasts for 20 minutes.
Thanks to BraveWords for the info.
Candice Night just said that Richie and he won’t be getting together…just to throw some information out there! For more, go to her or his publicist.

December 8th, 2014 at 23:32Whilst I share everyone’s desire to relive some wonderful nostalgic moments of the past, the brutal truth is that just as DP are not what they were in the 70’s, a revived Rainbow of old would likely be equally disappointing. Don’t get me wrong… I am a HUGE fan of all things Blackmore… But it’s in the past. We have some extraordinary recordings and video to fall back on, fortunately. And on these forums we get to exchange views, ideas and memories. Perhaps in time technology will enable us to better enhance both the audio and video of much of that. But Blackers is close to 70… Expecting him to have the energy of his youth is not realistic.
December 8th, 2014 at 23:34I wanted the 70s reunion but will never happen for sure now. That phase was a musical epiphany for me, a life changer. For Blackmore it was seemingly just a creative angst he was going through before he moved on to sadly. Now he has returned to it but he has burned those bridges and/or those partners are dead that contributed to that period of genius.
December 8th, 2014 at 23:47Do you mean that?
December 8th, 2014 at 23:49heard about this news nearly a dozen times and there is no new story yet of the rainbow reunion actually HAPPENING. Stop teasing us 🙁
December 8th, 2014 at 23:51i will believe it,when I hear it from Blackers himself. Then,I agree with people here,it is all in the past and don’t want JLT in teh picture if that was to happen.
December 9th, 2014 at 22:42@6 John,
DP and “equally disappointing” couldn’t be further from the truth, but opinions are just that including what I just typed out. If you continue to just live in the past and are not a supporter of the entire DP “family” from Mark 1—> present even to varying degrees, why do you stick around especially on this board?
Just curious, not looking for trouble. :>
Cheers,
Ted

Is anyone?
December 10th, 2014 at 15:28I always wondered why people thought JLT was a poser. I liked his vocals and thought he was an excellent compliment to Blackmore’s playing. After his latest barrage of BS this fall about a Rainbow reunion, I’m starting to get it. Better late than never I guess, but seriously JLT needs to keep quiet and stop getting people’s hopes up.
December 10th, 2014 at 17:47Please, no reunion with Turner, the world can do without bloody ‘I Surrender’!
December 10th, 2014 at 20:17Pretty much the same as the last interview posted but….. I must say, he actually has me listening with less regret this time out. Somehow he came across
more ‘normal’ than ‘normal’ for him, which has me actually supporting the effort to get Blackmore out for a Rock effort. Though he comes across like a cheer leader for the cause, that is fine if it works. ‘Hey Joe, I’m actually pulling for you here. who would have thunk it? But, how about dropping the “Rainbow” reunion and just doing something else? How about a Johnny Cash Tribute album by “Ritchie, the Other Man in Black”…..
