New Deep Purple website online now
As previously reported, Deep Purple’s management Thames Talent has contracted Paid Inc. to run a brand new Deep Purple’s Official Fan Community website. The site went live a few days ago so pay them a visit at www.deeppurple.org.
Thanks to Gordon Dale for the info.
It’s not bad. Some interesting interviews I’d not seen, a poll on Blackmore vs. Morse vs. Bolin vs. Satriani. It’s a little “cold” and not very big.
Bottom line: Something to check from time to time, but thehighwaystar has little to worry about.
August 26th, 2007 at 02:57Nice Official site. This is still the best though. But I thought Deep-purple.com was the official site. It’s STILL up and running.
August 26th, 2007 at 03:16Any DP website is good news ….. even though the Highway Star is a vast menagerie of content , a precise official site is good for promotional purposes with the media , for example .
Cheers , Mark
August 26th, 2007 at 07:11It’s Ok, but Thehighwaystar.com and deep-purple.net are lightyears better.
August 26th, 2007 at 09:04The pool of best guitarist is an interesting thing, but why cant you see the result? I’m sure who will be the winner.
Bo, if you want to see the poll results, click COMMUNITY (near the banner), than choose poll.
here’s results:
Who is your favorite Deep Purple guitarist?
Joe Satriani 2.09%
Ritchie Blackmore 59.93%
Steve Morse 33.10%
Tommy Bolin 4.88%
Total Votes: 287
August 26th, 2007 at 11:37Nice place!!!
August 26th, 2007 at 17:16Re: poll results – Steve Morse 33% : there must be a lot of hard-of-hearing ‘fans’ out there. Anyhow I don’t care much for the site – The Highway Star rules.
August 26th, 2007 at 23:41Well, nice site, but nothing like The Highway Star. It’s another one, good, but just another one. The Highway Star forever.
August 29th, 2007 at 00:12Say truth Hurts, maybe I forgot how you usually think about things……….
September 1st, 2007 at 12:0833% for Morse, is that a sign how people think?
Not enough?
Anyone who’s read my opinions re: Mr. Morse in the other comments bits will be able to tell you.
