who needs this? we just have “Live in the still of the night” dvd…anyway original title…I hope David will do something with Glenn or some solo albums in the vein of his first two…some gospel/country/blues stuff…
Yup – still (in the night) relevant to me – I love em
1st album I ever bought Ready and Willing, 3rd November 1980 – aged 11
Favourite band ever since and currently counting days to Wembley Arena Gig on May 29, which will be my 8 year old’s 1st concert too
I was reading in one of those old DTB issues about the Whitesnake FM recording in Sankt Gallen , Switzerland in 1984.
Thought to myself(Always interested in great quality b
oots and FM must be good)I m gonna do a request on PERFECTPURPLE.COM for it : )
What happens?!
I check in there and see someone uploaded it that day!!!!!
#10 Oh, you allow Cozy Powell (1983 Donnington not 1990)? thought you might be a bit more purist than that for the “REAL” drummer – David “Duck” Dowle or Ian Paice. Cozy only ever did ONE album
When push comes to shove Coverdale/Lord/Paice/Marsden/Moody/Murray is my favourite line-up but a lot of classic songs from other periods too:
Still of the Night
Judgement Day
Steal My Heart Away
Since “Live in the still of the night” is one of, if not the best live dvds I’ve ever heard or seen, I will get the dvd for sure.

March 14th, 2013 at 01:36Glad to see this. Love ‘Forevermore’. This DVD showcases that album. Wish they did the same for the ‘X’ album.
CheerZ?!
March 14th, 2013 at 02:55….whitesnake is as relevant as snake shed skin.
March 14th, 2013 at 06:08Yesterday I received a package from darker Than Blue headquarters.
I ordered a load of back issues I yet did not have.
Started to read(After feeling stressed because I could not make up my mind where to begin!!!)in 1984, the year of the reunion.
Man, 30 years ago almost!!!!
One of thye things I encountered was that it seemd both shows at Queenshall were filmed by TV.
Never heard of it.
Did it get shelved?
It was still with Jon Lord and Mel Galley.
just before Lord left for Deep Purple and Mel Galley was injured so Sykes handled the job after that.
This DTB also takes a perspective on how it almost came to a reunion of sorts before 1984.
One of the interesting moments is Ian Gillan pulling out because he felt it was too much about profits!!!
March 14th, 2013 at 09:14Fine, BUT I only want Whitesnake live from Donnington with Powel, Lord….. I mean I just want the REAL Whitesnake on Blu-Ray etc.

March 15th, 2013 at 13:1510@ I totally agree…it’s a sacrilege that show is not officially on dvd…and Blu-Ray…
March 15th, 2013 at 13:34…..oh and my 8 year old loves them too!
So that’s still relevant to 2 generations

“Watching this, me and my co-producer were whooping…” Always nice with a bit of objective criticism…
March 15th, 2013 at 20:52Re: #14
Nothing wrong with being excited about and proud of what you do.
March 16th, 2013 at 19:36@ 15
