Has anyone ever uncovered any live versions of songs from Book of Talesin? It’s so underrated I can’t stand it
June 3rd, 2017 at 06:10I saw Deep Purple in the very early 70s in Boston outside for free. I read one of the reviews from that era. I agree, I was spellbound. (John Kaye from Steppenwolf opened.) Two questions. The Chicago reviewer said that Roger Glover may have sung as Ian was in the hospital. Was that even known to happen? And secondly, because of his illness, they played extended versions (instrumental) of many of their songs. I would love to hear that. Are there any known versions of that or similar concerts? Thank you. Love your website. Kipp
