#1 and #5 cool…..#2 thru #4..mmmm not for me. Any non-Purple would have to be classic Rob Halford and JP plus some early Styx with John Cruelaski (sp?) on guitar.

This list is a bit changed then the last one he’s quoted:
Instead of In Rock he’s got MIJ (which includes tunes from MH and Fireball also), no Black Sabbath SBS instead The Crazy.., and order is changed also.

Bruce is legend, my favorite besides IG, DIO, DC and Hughes – well, the best in my opinion from second wave of hard’n’heavy. Way, way ahead of his counterparts with his magic “opera tenor hard’n’heavy voice”.

    Good list..

Take a look at Flight 666 from 2008.

You ll see your jaw fall down with awe and feel more exited than you felt for years watching a great live band at work.

    Personal favourites :

The Trooper, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,The Clairvoyant.

MIJ is an extraordinary album, even by todays standards. I think Bruce appreciates that. Having spoken tomost people involved in the classic live albums (Unleashed in the east, Strangers in the night, live and dangerous etc.) I know that MIJ is the only one which is untouched, no overdubs etc. Completely live!!

Bruce has excellent taste for me :o)

You’re right, great DVD with great performance. Bruces voice is as in 80s. The Rime my favorite also.

I would have to say Machine Head is one of the best albums ever made! All the songs on that sound very good. Plus for the time it was made , it still sounds fantastic & modern all these years later! Lot’s of music from back then sounds silly now, but not Ritchie’s guitar work , it’s timeless. Highway Star would have to be the best song ever made by them, next to Smoke On The Water.

Made In Japan is classic & the live sound of it comes up well , but it’s from several different show’s . The live in Japan box set is much better , where you can hear all the seperate nights. The whole concerts in order, not songs from here & there mixed together!
