Gillan, Iommi, McBrain, Lord
Caramba reports that the ad hoc band Who Cares will be going to the studio next Wednesday, October 6, to record a song called Out of my Mind for the benefit of the music school in Gyumri, Armenia. This is the project Big Ian spoke about before. The band, as it stands now, is comprised of Ian Gillan, Tony Iommi, Nicko McBrain and Jon Lord. No word on who will take the bass duties.
This will be 1000% better then BBC
September 29th, 2010 at 22:23I agree with Jack11.
September 29th, 2010 at 22:58Then Deep Purple should be able to get into the studio just as easily!
September 29th, 2010 at 23:36Still, what a line-up! Should be great!
FANTASTIC!!!!!!!
just fantastic!!!
The groundbreaking news!
September 29th, 2010 at 23:37I’m sure of it as well.
September 30th, 2010 at 17:46That was exactly my first thought too, Jack.
September 30th, 2010 at 18:02I suppose you are talking about BCC?
They better work VERY hard then.
The BCC album is a killer.
How can one song outclass that?
Well, as long Iommi is involved and not that spaghettibone.
September 30th, 2010 at 18:28Bring in Hughes. Hughes/Gillan would be killer!
September 30th, 2010 at 18:33@Jack11
I tend to agree. Though I prefer to say this is going to be 1000% different than BBC, which I love from day one. 😉
September 30th, 2010 at 20:55This is incredible news!!!! What an Awesome collaboration. Talk about a SUPER GROUP. Hopefully there will be a complete album to follow. If so, I’ll gladly settle for this as a pacifier until the next Purple Album….Who Cares???? I Care…
YEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
Cheers
September 30th, 2010 at 21:04Now I start dreaming for a CD, a world tour with Glenn on bass. BBC can wait. Could also be Roger. Cant wait to hear the Lord sound playing rock again and Gillan with a real ROCK guitar player. And the drummer – YES (but I still love Paice)!
September 30th, 2010 at 21:07Please dont wake me up 😉
guys… it’s BCC, not BBC.
repeat… BCC
one more time – BCC
got it?
September 30th, 2010 at 23:35From a humanitarian standpoint, kudos to those willing to take the time out for a good cause. This is a charity very close to Gillan’s heart. I’m sure his efforts are much appreciated and all involved should be commended for trying to make a difference.
From a musical standpoint, however, it is difficult to get excited over a single song. These things tend to be quick re-makes of old numbers using star musicians to grab the attention needed in order to support the cause. The lackluster “Smoke on the Water” all-stars from years ago comes to mind–something fun to contemplate given the people involved, but not something to listen to every day.
Had the news been that this line-up was to form a band and is recording a complete album would be an entirely different matter.
A thousand percent better than BCC? Not likely. Just a morsel–not a meal.
October 1st, 2010 at 02:11Hi all!
Always good thing that someone cares.
The Lineup…anything goes, but hats off for Jon!
…the bassist then? Neil Murray – anyone?
…and although Nicko is very good, it would make sense to bring in one Simon Phillips.
In the meanwhile I´m looking at Autumn Sky 🙂
Cheers!
October 1st, 2010 at 04:23Oh oh … and what is going on in purple ???
oh oh …
LLRnR
kraatzy
October 1st, 2010 at 06:41only one song is not enough! LORD IOMMI GILLAN McB,wooooww!
October 1st, 2010 at 07:02I heard Iommi’s recording of the riff a few months ago courtesy of Jon Dee. It’s classic Iommi. I’m going to be very interested to hear how Jon Lord integrates his Hammond.
October 1st, 2010 at 08:34I agree with Jim Sheridan.
October 1st, 2010 at 08:48I wonder why DP don’t take some time off to record a new album.
Hope they’ll do it any time soon.
But that line-up sounds almost too good to be true, can’t wait to hear the song.
oh please take geezer on bass!!!!i want a full album from this line up!!!!who cares about a new album with morse!!!current deep purple is dead!!!! iommi>>>>>>morse!!!!
October 1st, 2010 at 10:10I don’t know what’s so exciting about it.
I’m not so easely distracted.
I’m still waiting for a DP new album.
That isn’t even a possible dream, but a fan’s wish that became a nightmare.
Perhaps incredible would be:
DP with Gillan, Glen Hughes on the base, and instead of Spaghettibone Steve, Iommi, then Airey and Paice !
Why I skip Glover and Morse..? We own Morse by the ‘talent of choice’ from Glover. 🙁
Morse can’t compose, can’t play hard rock, and Glover neither …ecxept on the shoulders of other talented atists.
Steve is not on his place in DP, Glover isn’t anymore…
All the DP family seems to be creative and artistic…except the combination of this five DP members.
I truly don’t know why I should be happy with this news…it makes me sad.
I like to add, that if DP had made and were making this current band power- and respectful, then I would have enjoyed this news with excitement.
October 1st, 2010 at 10:30I’d like on the bass
Neil Murray
October 1st, 2010 at 10:56Steve Di Giorgio
Bob Daisley
Dave Spitz
An entire CD would be nice! We can dream can’t we? Who knows? This could led to something better. A side project yes, but a fabulous one!
October 1st, 2010 at 11:05Correcting my thoughts. Better? Can’t get any better. Expand would be the key word! LOL!
October 1st, 2010 at 11:08#20, Perhaps just one word for you at least for the moment. MORONIKA. Grab a clue, it’s never too late in life….!
So much delusion on this board. But at least it’s entertaining.
Peace, (and mutually loving forgiveness)
Ted :>
October 1st, 2010 at 11:58Delusion is thinking when Blackers left the band the remnants would make an immortal impact.
The time I got stoned for saying things like this is way over.
They have had their time.
AND YOU KNOW IT.
October 1st, 2010 at 13:59#24….
The words she speaks are true,
we are all humanary stew,
we all pledge allegiance to…DEEP PURPLE.
To a certain degree I agree with Annemie. Not regarding whether or not Morse and Glover can play hard rock (they both do that very well, especially LIVE), but regarding the present combination and their collective creative collaboration. They have waited way too long between albums now to the point that I even am feeling negative about my heroes. Thus far, what they have done in Purple and Out I am totally satisfied with regarding their quality of records….I am thoroughly displeased at this point though with their quantity.
By the way…My other Hero ‘Alice Cooper’ was finally selected to be inducted into the ‘Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’ in 2011. Long overdue as with Purple. Check out the link below:

Here is an example of an Old Rocker whom does it up right. He doesn’t wait 5 years or longer to put out a record. He tours plenty and records plenty…..His fans aren’t bitching…..
Cheers
October 1st, 2010 at 15:10#24
I love peace and good will etc.and humor …
But the clue is about Hard Rock and skill with all the needed ingredients missing for about 15 years now…
Moronica…I stick to my guns…
# 21 🙂
I Love Bob Daisley too ,and when thinking at him, better for DP original art 😉
Steve di Giorgio ? I must find out…
It’s incredible how Italy is blessed with most gifted musicians.
In fact amazing, but all over the artistic qualities Itatly is first class! 80
Cheers 8)
October 1st, 2010 at 16:23This may be better than BBC, but hardly better than BCC 😀
October 1st, 2010 at 19:07@ 20
Yeah, Roger GROVER took part in writing all Deep Purple fantastic albums, let alone playing on songs like: ‘Highway Star’, ‘Smoke on the Water’, ‘Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming’, ‘Rapture of the Deep’. All my life I thought it was Glover. Shame on me! 😉
October 1st, 2010 at 20:14@ 7 & 20 SPAGHETTI BONE?? are you serious?? how old are we acting today?? grow up, if you don’t like someone name calling is surely the best way to get rid of them……….not!! #20 I’m suprised #7 not at all
October 1st, 2010 at 21:40@#1…I’m with you…I hate the BBC too!
October 2nd, 2010 at 00:04To musicians fans are indeed a very important stakeholder group. And like any other stakeholder group fans can and maybe should express their expectations and desires. But their comments should be ethical, not destructive and for certain not below the belt. Every member of Deep Purple (past, present and future) is a talented and gifted musician. The b(r)and is the result of the combination of each member’s personality and skills.
Personally, I like almost every album released under the Deep Purple brand and I appreciate most of the side projects. I think it’s great, that you can get in contact with a wide variaty of musical styles by simply wandering through the Deep Purple branches.
I would recommend to be happy whenever you get notice of Deep Purple coming to your region. It is really fun watching all the members playing together on a stage. Appreciate every side project – it means that the chances are high that you will listen to a new piece of music that you will like.
Finally, it is my belief, that someone is only good at things if he likes what he is doing. Therefore, I let the members of Deep Purple decide about their future. At least, Deep Purple is their brand not mine. If they would turn to Techno music for example, I would be very sad and I cannot imagine of buying such a record. However, if that’s what they want or need, then they should go ahead. In such a case, I would look elsewhere for music that I like until they meet my musical desires again.
October 2nd, 2010 at 07:27LETS HOPE THAT IAN & TONY IS DOING MORE GREAT THINGS.
THANKS FORE THE BORN AGAIN ALBUM
I STILL GOT THE T-SHIRT FROM THE SHOW IN LUND SWEDEN 1983.
October 2nd, 2010 at 13:34Waouw !!
October 2nd, 2010 at 14:51I thaaaaaaaaaaaank yowwwww !!!
Oh contraire. Delusion is thinking when Blackers left the band the remnants wouldn’t make an immortal impact.
Have never gotten stoned, thankfully….
Ah, a peepee1965 slip up of acknowledgement of their time. But I’ll take the liberty of correcting you in that time marches on. You pretty much retired from that which is Purple Support when Blackers took his hike. And yet you keep hanging around. Too humorous. With this type of frustration and ill will, I would have mercifully split/hiked with Blackers….
AND YOU KNOW IT. :>
Ah yes, #26, what’s that song I used to like with slight alteration?
These words I speak are true
We’re all humanary stew….
Some thoughts are hot and crazed,
Some brains are webbed in haze,
Of mindless, senseless, daze….
Viva Furnier!
Peace,
Ted
October 3rd, 2010 at 02:09Diography #32….
My sentiments exactly…nice see someone else singing my song….
Cheers
October 3rd, 2010 at 04:08@ 32
Drawing the line at doing TECHNO MUSIC is yours.
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:26Others have other limits where they are inclined to draw the line.
ahoi.
somedays i wonder whether this is a DP fan site or a war site… (anyone remember “the battle rages on…”?)
October 3rd, 2010 at 11:38lots of bullshit written here.
u don’t like Glenn Hughes? well, nothing easier than not listening to his music.
u don’t like Steve Morse? don’t tell me that u are forced to listen to Mk 7 & 8 or his solo recordings!
i personally enjoy everything as long as it’s good music.
then i’m having a look on who did it and later trying to find out more about their recordings. that’s it. very simple.
there are sometimes words of the “purple family” – i know, that family isn’t friendship at the same time.
i started listening to DP at the age of 13 and found a new world with lots of different facettes that showed me who different influences come together to create some great music.
i love Ritchie Blackmore! killer riffs, killer solos. …but i’m not so much into his post-DP/-Rainbow project.
i love big Ian. “Fighting Man” is one of my favorites.
David Coverdale. i do prefer the classic Whitesnake-era, but Coverdale Page was also a killer album to me.
Roger is truely a fine gentleman. he enjoys the band, tries to keep things going – a working man. his songwriting credits are often overshadowed by Gillan or Blackmore in earlier days.
Tommy Bolin. i’m so sad that i did’nt get the chance to see him live on stage. (i was only 5 years old when he died.) when you listen to his recordings with Billy Cobham or Alphonse Mouzon you will understand how much of a musician he was. he had a very unique sound like few others. my all-time favorite: “Wild Dogs”. still makes me cry.
Glenn Hughes was so productive during the last 20 years. maybe massy but not classy. there are great songs on almost every solo record he did. BCC is a killer band. this is Jasons chance to show his skills. so bad that Sherinian is too low in the final mix. and yes: Glenn is THE VOICE OF ROCK. (sorry David)
Turner. i liked some tracks from “purple rainbow” album, but like Jon Lord said in an interview, it lacked an up-tempo rocker like “Gypsy’s Kiss” or “Dead Or Alive”. yes, he’s the “Spotlight Kid” and he has a great voice that fitted very well into DP.
i could go on like this.
anybody got the point?
cheers.
yeeeeeesss Tony´s guitar and Lord´s hammond – great – bring in Geezer for the bass
October 3rd, 2010 at 14:55Hello Purple Family,
Here are the Sabbath fans, we are happy to see again Mr Gillan with Tony Iommi together in studio, the old good days with Born Again, and with the Armenia Project. And the incredible Jon Lord with hammond line with Iommi loud riffs, what!
Yes, what a good idea Geezer Butler on bass!!!!
Well, I wish the best for Purple family, and for sure Sabbath & Purple (RB, WS) members are simply the best!!
OK, if you are a true fan of Hughes, Dio, Gillan, Iommi….please take an eye on my blog, with armies of infos…..Thanks
http://black-sabbath.oldiblog.com/
October 3rd, 2010 at 20:25Peoooooooople, don’t you want to simply SHUT UP and FU** OFF????
(one of the) World’s greatest rock singer – IAN GILLAN
(one of the) World’s greatest rock guitarist – TONY IOMMI
(one of the) World’s greatest rock keyboardist – JON LORD
those people are going into the studio TOGETHER, to compose GREAT new material…. While you’re sitting here and fu**ing the brain with discussions such as: Gillan VS Hughes or Morse VS Blackmore?
Are you crazy??????
I still think that Gillan/Iommi/Lord/Mcbrain – together in the studio – is not true, but the sweetest dream I could ever imagine. Of course we know that’s TRUE…. Aren’t you able simply to shut up and wait for what those GIANTS are going to record in the studio???
Oh my godddddd…..
October 4th, 2010 at 01:50Can’t wait for the first single… Oh yeaaaaaaah!
October 4th, 2010 at 01:51@1
And I know that this will be even 1001% better then CNN and BBC together! 🙂
October 4th, 2010 at 08:40@37 Exactly, that’s why I said “for example” 🙂
October 4th, 2010 at 09:32HZ:
CNN? what is? 😕
they are going in studio to record a new single or a new full-lenght?
I miss to understand..
Lord-Iommi:incredible! \m/ !!!!!!!!!!
October 4th, 2010 at 12:06Being a fan of both Purple and Maiden as well as one of those who found the Sabbath feat. Gillan period worthwhile, to me this is a most incredible line-up!! No matter who of the usual suspects will turn out to be the bass player! Brings back memories of the early 80s really, when I was first discovering all that great music…!! I thoroughly look forward to it and my secret wish is they’d do more than just that one thing…
October 4th, 2010 at 14:48Bob Daisley,,or Geezer. This will kick a$$!!
October 4th, 2010 at 21:36What about John Myung on bass?… Glover would pull it into DP direction, Geezer to BS – which would be also very nice, but a kind of new stuff would be the nicest.
Or – Tony Levin?…
October 5th, 2010 at 09:02@35 Delusion is thinking that if Blackers stayed that then the band would make an immortal impact.
Your blinkered output never ends.
Gillan, Iommi, Lord, Mcbrain – its gonna be real interesting!
October 5th, 2010 at 09:49@13
Agreed! Although I might add that this is an extension of said ‘SOTW’ charity, to add more income to the Armenia project after visiting where the money from the first one went.(likely where McBrain comes in too) Still to be released is the remastered/restored video clip from that great gathering session, emphisis on ‘great.’ imo
@20
If soo…. then WHY DO YOU AWAIT ANOTHER DP ALBUM? Confused? I should say so!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@38
I could not agree more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for my thoughts after reading Iommi as the ‘greatest rock guitarist’ – Naw! However, Tony and Jon together recording a studio track for the first time? seems cool to me, although something tells me Jon won’t be there tomorrow and willl be sending his part in????? If so it’s no real band, just a distant project between some good artists.
As for Purple and an album, I’ll think about it when they get around to it, which is like watching paint dry. It’s becoming so annoying it’s as if they’re snubbing the fans. Can they still write good songs? Well, with the feel of us behind them to inspire them, I’m sure they can, but take a look at the hardware here….
BCC? By far and wide the best album for my money since DEEP PURPLE’S PURPENDICULAR! There is not one note of complete focus lost in the outcome of their work, it’s as good as good gets these days.
Ian Gillan?
October 5th, 2010 at 23:51I do not care if he ever writes another hard rock song as long as he lives, but if he can contain himself on this one, or another DP album… who am I to keep my word? lol! It just doesn’t look likely. He can do so much better singing stuff like “Over and Over” on the 2nd JL and the HC Men.(brilliant) Or his latest solo offering.(again, brilliant!) And I’m sure the series Ep’s he is working on releasing in 2011 will be of that same quality and have little to nothing to do with hard rock. I’m afraid it’s the hard rock factor that is beginning to deminish in his voice, nothing more to my ears… we all grow up someday… let it be! Still a fine singer underneeth the poor rock market he seems to be so attached to. This should apply to Coverdale as well, concentrate on strength’s, not weeknesses. The strength being in the low register, run with it guys!(do it while it’s still in style)
Blink blink?
October 6th, 2010 at 12:00They should have done this project some years ago when Gillan still had voice…(until Gillan’s Inn or Eternity recordings….)
October 6th, 2010 at 22:29But it’s great anyway…I wish they will make an entire album but with another, better drummer…
@20 it’s clear you simply don’t know what you are saying about Glover and morse…
@ 50
Hey, he s back in the game!!!!
Over and over is a great song indeed.
I wish I had a complete album with that!!!!
But I feel sorry to say OETM never touched my like I hoped for.
CONFUSION?
I think you re confusing AnneMie and me.
Although we ARE friends it was ME that talked about confusion somewhere else.
Svante said today he agreed me, as in being surprised.I think we all agree sometimes or often.
Its not all black and white.
People have more in common than differences.
It reminds me of that graffitti text I encountered years ago when I cycled through that bike tunnel under Rotterdam Central Station.
It said…….WE ALL NEED AN ENEMY.
I had trouble with that text but……
Maybe there s a point in that one after all?
We all cross our swords and in the meantime have a lot of passion in common.
What would we do without the band?
Or should I say THE INSTITUTION it has become?
Because it has become more than a band, I tend to keep following and blinkering, hahaha.
It just means I CARE!!!!!
And we all do.
Well, not all of us, but it sounds so nice.
October 6th, 2010 at 23:44@50
u got the point! those great singers from the 70s should be aware of their ageing voice and their implied possibilities.
“Restless Heart” was maybe one step in the right direction for Mr. Coverdale. and to me “One Eye On Morocco” is one of the better projects by Gillan, as it’s more about music and not about screaming.
some of all these musicians realized their chances to cross borders and work with others to find if there’s exciting music to adventure.
me too, i’m still waiting for another DP record. not because there’s a musical revelation or sensation to come, but i had the subliminal feeling that their last recordings had been unfinished. maybe it’s time for them to focus again on songwriting – jamming might not be enough.
i still prefer the “Abandon” album (considering the Morse era). the songs sound written. written by someone who knows the musical skills of the band. “Bananas” & “Rapture Of The Deep” are maybe too loose.
is it enough to tour year by year in Germany with little changes in the setlist? in the early days they tried new songs on the road before recording! (last time they tried it was in 2002 with “Up The Wall” (= early version of “I Got You’re Number”) & “Long Time Gone”)
October 7th, 2010 at 09:06there is much more to say, musically. and there won’t be much more 5-year-breaks to come. fact.
“the word for sunday”: focus.
cheers.
An experimental project without the pressure of a record company and for a good cause but the one million question ‘Where are the current DP line up is heading for?’
October 7th, 2010 at 17:26My Guess the current DP line up will be different in 2011.
# 50
No confusion at all!
I think many of us became increasingly aware, that they are just EXPLOITING and CHURNING OUT the old DP material for years now.
They are DISUSING their own made songs, and complete BRUSHING ASIDE -or being UNABLE to create – new material.
This still growing awakening makes almost every fan sad and cynical, also comparing and learning.
But when true loving/caring about a human or a band…one should always get a second try-out and chance.
That would be A TRUE HARD ROCK ALBUM.
When that’s not possible…after requesting AGAIN AND AGAIN…
When the human or the band doesn’t care or try at all…you know the cure…or should I say the issue !
#52
My ears are in ecxellent shape. My brain/soul to find permanent creative, enriching artistic hard rock composition/contribution of those two too.
And sorry, my knowledge especially about Glover is a lot more then I ever would/should write down.
Steve is just the right man at the wrong place as someone else said so to the point some time ago.
True cheers to future on past level 😉
October 8th, 2010 at 07:37@53
October 8th, 2010 at 10:31Misenterpretation is in the house I see… the confusion was simply about @20 expressing anticipation for a new DP album, yet proceeding to show no sign support for them as they are today. Pretty upside down as usual, and that English is always better than mine, as once expressed here by this person
Nice to see Mr.Lord did attend the session and they had the usual fun and Tony says they played well.
Update:
October 8th, 2010 at 10:33http://www.iommi.com/index.php?story=83
And nice to see the bass part being sent in by Jason Newsted, apparently filmed too.
http://www.gillan.com/
Thanks Hristo
October 8th, 2010 at 14:37Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand JASON NEWSTED (from Metallica) ON THE BASS!
CONFIRMED BY GILLAN at Caramba.
This is what you got: DEEP PURPLE + BLACK SABBATH + METALLICA + IRON MAIDEN supergroup.
Isn’t that enough for you to simply STOP discussing it and wait for what they’re going to do?
Probably the best dream one could ever imagine!
October 8th, 2010 at 17:14Don’t forget ‘Blackers’ played bass on LLRnR album, so maybe he could do this for Charity?
Alternatively, there’s Flea or Jon Lord’s left hand!
October 8th, 2010 at 19:23Whatever those great musicians are putting together, I’m looking forward to it.
Regarding the old “new Deep Purple album issue” I have a simple view. Either there’s potential, then they will record a new album after touring this winter, or they will split next year. I feel like many others too that there’s some sort of stagnation. How long can an artist live with that anyway? If a bottle of fine whisky is empty then keep its name in mind and throw it away, but don’t sell empty bottles!
@54: To my taste “Purpendicular” is far superior to “Abandon”. It sounds fresh and exciting. It sounds indeed very written too when you consider something like “Cascades” or “Sometimes I Feel Like Sreaming”. Abandon hasn’t tunes which come anywhere close to that. To me “Purpendicular” has been their best studio effort after “Perfect Strangers” till today and a strong statement that there’s still a Deep Purple after Blackmore.
October 10th, 2010 at 16:29>> somedays i wonder whether this is a DP fan site or a war site… (anyone remember “somedays i wonder whether this is a DP fan site or a war site… (anyone remember “the battle rages on…”?)…”?)
LOL
By the way I’ve been really into the “The Battle Rages On” album. A+
October 10th, 2010 at 21:26Blackmore did have to play a bass line or two on LLRAR, however much he doesn’t understand the instrument’s point. Try researching Mark Clark’s part in it all, you will find little left to credit Blackmore with concerning bass on said album. Mr.Dio also wrote some melodies on said album that Ritchie dismisses. It wasn’t exactly a picnic.
October 11th, 2010 at 03:16#53, my pal, (:)) Appreciate this post!
Peace,
Ted
October 13th, 2010 at 02:46Tony Iommi has to do something new anyway because of the unfortunate passing of Ronnie James Dio whether it be in Who Cares or doing horror film soundtracks(awesome).I am still hoping, because of the incredible resurgence of support for the old rock bands nowadays, that he will do another Sabbath Album(after he fucks up ozzy and his trash wife Sharon in court). Tony Martin is still sounding incredible, would dig to hear those two in the studio again. Whether u think Headless Cross, Tyr were not sabbath albums because Ozzy wasn’t there, take your head out of your ass as the music was incredible know matter what you called the band. For Me Iommi is Sabbath. It’s just so great that he is collaborating here. Don’t agree with arties recommendation earlier of John Myung as bassist though. Rather a Rinus Gerritsen,Pete Trewavas or Bob Daisley. I personally would have wanted Simon Wright on drums as his ability to hold a solid energetic powerful rhythm would power whatever Iommi thunders out a lot better than McBrain who is beginning to sound a little tired, He was a fantastic drummer for Maiden in the past but I feel he is now just going through the motions. As for an album from these guys instead of just a one teasing song….hope it comes to fruition. Something to live for man.
October 17th, 2010 at 10:31According to an article in the latest Classic Rock Magazine, Iommi is wishing to get the Original Sabbath back together for another Reunion and do as he and Ozzy state a Kick Ass Album. Looks like the folks whom miss the original lineup have something to possibly look forward to…..
Cheers
October 23rd, 2010 at 22:09Oh and also, Ozzy is all for it also…..
Cheers
October 23rd, 2010 at 22:09@ 66
Are you from Holland?
Rinus Gerritsen from the Golden Earring is indeed a good one.
What do you think…..Is Ceasar Zuyderwijk also still up to it?
Always funny to remember…
October 29th, 2010 at 14:47I saw C Z years ago in Rotterdam doing a class and tellin the audience about Deep Purple and that they kinda nicked the intro to Radar Love from Highway Star.
It seemed that the only one who had a smile in the audience was me.
The rest stared empty at him when he mentioned DP.
And that was around 1990!!!!
Iommi is a real B†S,Ozzy has become a clown,so I’d like to see Iommi Butler (also Appice) under another project or name..with another singer (there are a lot of them inspite of)…
November 2nd, 2010 at 08:15The best bass player on the planet as we speak is the guy who played on the most recent MSG Tour. Forgot his name but what a player. Who cares.
November 7th, 2010 at 07:16
