At this point we would like to stress that Nasty Habits are not a tribute band and, apart from this project, they do write and perform the material of their own.

Thanks to Peter Brkusic and Jerry Bloom for the info.

    Made in England says:

Current Deep Purple = one original member.
NS & Dirty Habits = one original member of DP…

I know who I’d pay to see if I had the choice….

I read quite interesting points of Nick about Deep Purple’s post Mk1 era. He even thinks, that his own band has more progressive ideas than DP released in In Rock…

The sound quality on “Hush” was a bit too garbled to make an assessment, but I liked “Chasing Shadows”.

The challenge on a project like this is to maintain the spirit of the original without trying to be a clone, and I think they succeeded in that with original soloing and modified arrangements while keeping it recognizable.

I enjoy these old songs getting a workout. Looks like the crowd had a great time–and the band, too.

    George….

That may be something he stated, but I don’t any evidence of it as of yet. Nothing New has come from Simper since “Nick Simpers Fandango” days. Would love to hear something new from him rather than falling back to a 40 year old period. When all you are playing is 40 year old material, it’s hard to fathom being ‘progressive’…..

    Cheers

I think George was talking tongue in cheek here?

Nick was talking about the progressive nature of MARK 1, not what happened after btw.

Apart from the singer I d love to see MK 1 material LIVE.
    A lot of classic songs.

Its hard to compete with Rod,although many people think Rod was average at best.
