Only quill pens and horseback messengers
This is straight from the desk of bizarre appearances in our trainspotting department. Some time over the past year, crooks posing as Ritchie Blackmore scammed an old lady in the UK out of £115,000. See the maestro himself appearing at around 12:40 expressing sympathy for the victim and vehemently denying his involvement because he doesn’t “personally use internet or social media”.
Thanks to Uwe Hornung for the heads-up.
I have considerable forensic experience, this is a clear-cut case. At the heart of the crime lies Gregster as the chief culprit. I have this from confidential sources I can needless to say not divulge, but they are trustworthy and reliable: Gregster’s incessant burrowing work here undermining Ritchie’s hitherto flawless reputation and status as a guitarist and artist has seen the back catalog sales of our beloved Long Island Renaissance enthusiast plummet on an unforeseen scale. From there to Ritchie – in desperation – adopting (and conveniently adapting) an old Sherwood Forest motto “to take from the rich and give to the poor” was only a small, insignificant step, his quill pen hand was forced so to say by Gregster’s heinous libel as the root of evil.
The Star Chamber, as chaired by me, will now have to convene and see in its infinite wisdom that – after due confession of course – justice is dealt. We’ll start with some Glenn Hughes vocal acrobatics.
