Elegant precision

We haven’t seen opera singers being properly awestruck by our boys doing their thing in a while on these pages, so here you go.

The magic of awesome musicians and singers performing live in front of an audience just plugged into amps, no pro -tools ,no auto tune

(looking around furtively …) Is this really ok? Won’t Charismatic Lizzie be jealous if we do this? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned … “The city’s ablaze, the town’s on fire, the woman’s flames are reaching higher…”, just sayin’, don’t tell ME I didn’t warn you!

Well, we’ve never had that before, man’s jewelry comments. Lord of the Ring!!! Can’t wait for her future comments on Rob Halford’s vocal performances, he even has a Prince Albert (Marc Bolan would no doubt explain that it’s good for Rob’s voice!).

Also, Ian’s tongue work has never met more in depth appreciation. I hasten to add: At least from what I have been privy to.

That Granada performance of Child in Time was always a highlight.

It strikes me that someone her age has probably had little exposure to bands playing loosely AND well, to musicans being virtuoso AND entertaining. It’s gone out of style and what she grew up with was probably mostly rigorously rehearsed perfection with zero deviation from the script. Well, she came to the right place for a different take – a DP live performance from the early 70ies is as good a choice as it gets.

PS: And if I may add, it’s a relief to see a young woman on YouTube doing a podcast not covered in tons of theater makeup and with umpteen filters making her look like some AI-generated avatar. Not that Miss Bethany from Tennessee can’t glam up if need be.

She raves about Ian’s singing, as they all do, but she gets the rest of it too.

Fear reigns this forum, Ivica, we just don’t know what she might do …

Sometimes I wonder if my sister ever gets across these seemingly honest reviews .

She was always full of disdain for my tastes.

Me on the other hand, I already tried to pick things from her horizons, like Marvin Gaye, Glenn Hughes inspired me to check him out.

In general the people who loathed my taste in music and clothes 45 years ago now never dare to admit they listened to shit or looked ridicilous.

I hope you noticed, RV, that the lady in the gif in #6 is, if not your sister, than a least a country(wo)man of yours, van Duitsen bloed and all that, the inimitable and très hot Famke Janssen!

    MacGregor says:

@ 8 – If that inimitable ‘lady’ (or any other) can change moods THAT quickly I am out of here. Cheers.

She just gets a little emotional at times. Nothing a few years of marriage wouldn’t have put you through.

hum…in my opinion the little girl hasn’t even remotely understood what Child in Time really is….she only made the video to get some likes since other teachers have done the same thing before her…superfluous and useless..

    Uwe Hornung says:

She’s certainly blissfully oblivious of It’s A Beautiful Day’s Bombay Calling!

These young people don’t learn anything anymore in school, no proper source material research at all (walks off grumbling).

    Dear Uwe

Not because she s Dutch but Femke J is one of my favourites as well.

Both my sister and me, though not as kids, developed in a way many thought we were twins.

I m afraid my sisters real personality is displayed here by Femke.(…)

Make of that what you want.

I loved FJ in X men but got the idea she succumbed to taking the plastic surgeon route in the last(?) part.

My memory tends to mix up things a lot.
Wasnt that in the one where mister Adamantium gets to Japan?

I also remember him dying, which saddened me cause I d love to see him do the Wolverine forever.

Ow wait, googled a bit and appearantly they tricked me.
Timeslines like other movies(Terminator) confuse me a lot, but ok, anything to get me my fix.

He did quite versatile stuff, Hugh Jackman.

    Good for him.
I think I saw him for the first time in a movie where he was fighting Dracula.
Van Helsing sounded Dutch to me…..

    Bram Stoker as well…..

I m gonna end my chain of associations with a place where I tried to start many years ago.

Loved the sauna but felt uncomfortable because everybody, incl women, was naked and a part of me could not cope with that.
