His last bow to America
Whitesnake have announced US and Canadian dates for their farewell tour. The trek will start on August 17, 2022, in New Hampshire and wrap up on October 21 in Las Vegas. Most of the dates DC & Co will be supporting Scorpions, with a few gigs headlining on their own: New Hampshire, Providence RI, and Roanoke VA. The tour is scheduled at a rather leisurely pace, with breaks between shows as long as 6 days. Which leaves open the possibility of adding an odd gig here and there.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on May 13 at 10am local time. Presales start on May 10 at 10am local time. Presales password is farewell, albeit even the official site is not sure if it’s lower case or upper and advises to try both.

Given the age of DC and the original Scorpions a few days break between gigs is probably a sensible idea. These are big shows.

May 10th, 2022 at 12:21After seeing Whitesnake in Newcastle recently I think this will definitely be the farewell tour. In fact, although it was a great concert, I think DC will struggle to finish such a lengthy tour.
May 16th, 2022 at 13:44I was at the Newcastle gig too and have to say that I was VERY embarassed because of DC.
The band was ok but Coverdale was the worst singer I’ve ever seen on a stage (and I’ve attended hundreds)… Making money with so few voice left is a robbery, the guy just can’t sing anymore.
Gillan and Hughes are still very impressive but our friend David is making a fool of himself…
Let alone after Kelly Hansen who is incredible (everyone agreed that Foreigner stole the show). I’m sad
May 17th, 2022 at 16:41I agree that “Foreigner” put on the best performance but, let’s face it, they are more of a cover band now. Mick Jones is the only original member left and they only rolled him out for the last couple of songs.
May 18th, 2022 at 11:56I was at the gig. David was the oldest singer there, historically he sings very differently to both Hansen and Tempest and whilst it’s true he is a long way from the vocalist he was there was nothing to be embarrassed about. It was a good show and the audience were right behind him. I don’t feel robbed because I was well aware of what to expect. He started well but the stamina isn’t there anymore and he has never learned to adjust (like Gillan) for his age. Getting the audience behind you in this situation is sensible. It was good fun.
May 18th, 2022 at 16:50Foreigner were slick but not really my thing although I liked seeing the very elderly Mick Jones.
I just wish David had gone down the acoustic, small show route to preserve that once amazing voice. Oh, well.
Sorry Jaffa but I have to disagree. I’ve just been sent the video of Still of the night in Newcastle and if you don’t feel ashame for DC, you’re a lucky man 😉
I’ve attended countless shows with singers in their 70’s and Coverdale is BY FAR the worst.
Not only Gillan but go and see Henley, Rodgers, Meine, Steven Tyler… They’re all still singing great…
I love the guy but such awful performances (don’t even read the comments on YouTube) need to stop, I don’t want people laughing at DC.

Fans on social media saying they had a great time. My family, including 2 teenage kids, had a fantastic time at Nottingham. Shame HS has become so unrepresentative of the fans of the DP family which is why I hardly bother coming on here.

Paul, Im with you. Although I would have liked a set sprinkled with older numbers it was a great evening and well presented by an amazing band. Most of the audience enjoyed it judging from the reaction. Im glad I went and I really enjoyed the night.
