A reputation and a name of sorts
Jon Lord’s press conference on September 13, 2003 outside of the Hell train station in Norway, prior to his performance at the Hell Blues Festival, and at the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim the next day. Some of you may have seen it (some may have been there), others not.
Later that day at the Hell Blues festival (with Jon’s appearance starting from about 50 minutes into the set):
Thanks to Magnus Johansen for posting the videos and to Yvonne for bringing them to your attention.
What a wonderful and insightful man he was!

December 13th, 2020 at 15:55before in his life !
Our beloved Jon Lord talks with an open heart and mind.
December 13th, 2020 at 22:36‘Music is a playground’ what a great quote to end his interview.
His honest Frank opinion on the ‘Bannnas’ album production and claiming the sound was not great and Roger would have done a better job than Micheal Bradford is something echoed by lots of fans as well I think. No offence to Mr Bradford.
Plz watch from start to finsh and enjoy.
This gentleman just oozed kindness and intelligence. Questions he must have been asked a gazillion times are always answered with respect rather than resignation. I’m always torn if I’m more impressed with his awesome gifts as a musician or his humanity as a person. A terrific role model, in either case. Jon, you are greatly missed – but never forgotten.
December 16th, 2020 at 01:52Much missed. I never got to meet him – saw him play but never got closer than the front of the stage.
Was spot on about Mr Bradford, but didn’t Roger speak of a remix in the fan interviews.
