Once upon a time in Hollywood
Deep Purple’s Hush and Kentucky Woman are featured in a new Quentin Tarantino’s movie Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood that opens stateside tomorrow, July 26. Both will also be included on the soundtrack album.
“Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood” visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film from the writer-director features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age. The film also stars Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate plus Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant, Dakota Fanning, Bruce Dern, Lena Dunham, and more.
Thanks to Blabbermouth for the info.
Should have been Why Didn’t Rosemary? with Hush.
July 25th, 2019 at 22:10Classic MK 1 era, all be it covers of other artists songs, but still the start of it all.
July 25th, 2019 at 23:31Blackmore, Evans, Lord, Paice & Simper. Wonderful era. Not sure why Blabbermouth has a more recent picture of a different band? I do know why actually! Lazy, sloppy & couldn’t be bothered to find a correct image for the story! That is the current state of the world we live in folks, not many could be bothered doing something correct anymore. We see it everywhere these days, a woeful attitude!
I will now go & play a few songs from that era of the band, always a good thing. Cheers.
Man, I hope Rod Evans is aware of this…Too bad what happened to him despite his error in judgement.

July 27th, 2019 at 11:14Just saw the movie on Thursday evening. Hush plays while Roman and Sharon hop in their car at night and drive to a party, which is being held at the Playboy Mansion. A cool scene!
July 27th, 2019 at 14:20MKI were great. Those first 3 albums have certainly stood the test of time. My second favorite DP line up, after the mighty MKII.
