Johnny’s Band Video arrives
A video has arrived at n-tv in Germany for Johnny’s Band, the second third ‘first to have an actual video’ single from the new album InFinite. This single was heavily played on the UK’s BBC Radio 2, making song of the week, earlier this year.
Just remember, as per Call of the wild, Deep Purple just don’t do videos…..
No doubt it will appear on YouTube soon, but in the meantime you can enjoy the video here
Hail Johnny’s band,indeed.
May 31st, 2017 at 21:13The plate of spaghetti in the face rings a bell. Ha !!
That`s brilliant! And the spaghetti incident, ha ha!
May 31st, 2017 at 21:21I love it!
May 31st, 2017 at 21:52Purps & Roses for everyone… What a hoot!. Love it!. An indication of the way things have been, or the the way they are heading….? Does it matter?. Excellent. Thanks to the Purps. Be happy.
June 1st, 2017 at 01:14Have we heard from Tracy Heyder lately?. Are you out there mate?, are you O.K.?.
June 1st, 2017 at 01:17I love this video, especially reference to the pasta being thrown in the face of other band member (wink wink)
June 1st, 2017 at 01:38Just brilliant! Purple is the most beautiful rock and roll band in the universe!
I love “the spaghetti incident”
Put a smile on my face.
Great video, (I think)
Tomorrow I will see them live @ the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam, together with my daughter (12 years old)
June 1st, 2017 at 03:10Rock never gets old!
The drummer with white beard and sun glasses is Steve Williams from Budgie!
June 1st, 2017 at 06:08DP making videos? Don’t understand. It’s a sign. This must be the end. Of the world as we have learned to know it. I get my coat.
June 1st, 2017 at 06:55Do I see well that it’s Steve Balsamo playing the young version of Johnny the Singer? Man, how did he got ‘that’ gig???
June 1st, 2017 at 07:02Mixed feelings on the video itself, but it surely meets the editorial from the lyrics!
Very nice.
I’m sure everyone will be going through this in detail picking up all the references.
Most a bit more subtle than the spagehtti hoops…
June 1st, 2017 at 08:36A great nod to the spaghetti incident between Blackmore and Gillan is hidden in the video.
A very fitting video for a great classic Purple tune.
I love it!!.
Chears,
June 1st, 2017 at 10:14Thunderhawk!
In which the “spaghetti incident” is immortalised for the MTV generation lol
June 1st, 2017 at 10:35Better songs on album to do vidio.
June 1st, 2017 at 13:03Well well well, had to see the video. Boy, it was boring. If the song is mediocre, the video is below zero. It’s not even funny, in any way. Don’t want to see it the second time. Better to forget that they ever released this video. It is below all standards. So sad.
June 1st, 2017 at 14:36Loved the spaghetti scene…LOL…Great!!
June 1st, 2017 at 15:46Many enjoyable scenes for us, the fans. No spoiler, wait for it. 🙂
June 1st, 2017 at 16:27It is funny. Spaghetti incident appears in the video.
June 1st, 2017 at 18:16I think to remember to have seen DP on call of the wild..

June 2nd, 2017 at 17:44Pityful.
I’m enjoying the new CD, but this was my least favorite songs. The video really good and sheds some light on the song, One of the better music videos I’ve seen and it really picks the song up for me.
June 2nd, 2017 at 23:54@ 24 Silly…
June 3rd, 2017 at 09:27Sir Blackwood Richmore @ 5 – I was only thinking about Tracy & also DeeperPurps the other day & how long since I have noticed a comment from them both! We hope they are both still in Purple land! Cheers.
June 3rd, 2017 at 09:39Enjoyable. Put a smile on my face.
June 3rd, 2017 at 16:59@27 MacGregor, hmmmm, well Bruce Wayne & Batman could never appear in the same room together… & when Bruce Wayne was off sick, then so was the Batman….. Hmmmmmm… Are you thinking what I’m thinking?….
June 4th, 2017 at 02:11Then stop it immediately or you’ll go blind!.
Smiles to ya,
SBR Esq.
@ 25 Same for me, opened this track for me.
June 4th, 2017 at 10:19Not surprised to see Steve Balsamo in the video. He worked with Jon quite a bit and has contributed to The Sunflower Jam, so I imagine he’s friends with Paicey and his wife.
June 4th, 2017 at 13:15Jonny Lord’s band…
June 4th, 2017 at 13:58@ 9 oh yeah ,,,the never ending “critique” of this tragedy that is happening, with the band making low budget
June 5th, 2017 at 14:22video of one of their songs!! Jesus, give it a rest will you?! have you even heard the whole album,or you are one of those stuck to the “no Blackmore,no Deep Purple” kind of fans?! seriously knock it off,it is ridiculous!
@33 Al, I have heard the whole album, and I like it very much. Some absolutely great songs in it. I surely hope they will ho back to studio once again, since they are able to produce top quality music. And no, I am one of those stuck to the “no Blackmore,no Deep Purple” kind of fans. I very much like Mr. Morse’s playing and role in the band. The band is in top form today, if I am asked. I even go to see the band twice this year, in Madrid and Helsinki. I love them guys. It just happens that I don’t like the video. Ok, it’s a joke. But I think Johnny’s band is the least good (what’s that?) track in the album.
June 7th, 2017 at 08:26I have no intention to offend you or anybody.
Correction to my previous post: …. “And no, I am NOT one of those stuck to the “no Blackmore,no Deep Purple” kind of fans.” …
