Casino burned down and made us all quite wealthy
Several vintage interviews have been posted on youtube.
Roger, Jon, and Paicey being interviewed by Swiss TV circa the House of Blue Light:
Ian, Ian, and Roger interviewed for French TV in 1987:
Roger & Big Ian talk about their families on Swedish TV in 1988:
Raw footage from Swedish TV interview 1993, only a fraction of this was ever used. (Note: this one is more than an hour long)
Thanks to Nigel Young for the info.
Very interesting interview with Ritchie! Done by Anders Tengner, legendary swedish rock aficionado.

May 16th, 2017 at 11:40Speaking of Casino burning down – there was a snatch of SoTW on of all place “The Archers” – BBC Radio 4’s long running soap opera, the everyday story of country folk. Apparently David Archer, who is meant to be a 57 year old farmer apparently has it on his car stereo – despite never previously have shown any real interest in any music.

May 17th, 2017 at 10:10I haven’t listened to any of the interviews yet…But I love the claim in the headline, which is true, that because a casino burned to the ground, the band became a huge success and became wealthy. Life can turn on a dime…and when you least expect it.
May 18th, 2017 at 17:20Most interesting interview with Ritchie! I hardly saw any journalist going that deep in the topics. Also, I’m glad to know there’s someone also digging “Hold On”, “Nasty Piece Of Work”, “Solitaire” like me. And, like me, who finds “One Man’s Meat” boring.
