Don Airey on tour
Just a quick public service announcement that Don Airey Band starts European tour tomorrow, March 11. If you’re in the neighbourhood — go and see them. The venues are intimate, the tickets are not that expensive, the musicians are top notch, and they are playing the music we all love. Just go.
A snippet from the last year performances, Lost in Hollywood live at the Locomotiv Club di Bologna, March 8 2016:
And yet again no NI/Ire dates. Ridiculous. Very angry.

March 10th, 2017 at 22:05Did they record for release any of the shows that Don Airy and Ian Gillan did?

Highly recommended! Saw them last year in Reichenbach/Germany, intimate, but full power show, and, together with some more people on stage, at the Gillan sings Deep Purple Concert in Warsaw, review in German to be seen here: http://www.the-aviator.de/konzert/sonstiges/live2016/p_gillan_wolfram_reeg.htm
March 13th, 2017 at 20:07We saw them last night in Quasimodo’s (Berlin) they played a great and diverse set to between 100 – 150 (this is only a guess) ageing but appreciative fans. Missed Mr Crowley, but otherwise no complaints, a rousing Pictures of Home was an early highlight as were the Rainbow tracks and the instrumental from Colosseum II, can’t remember what it is called. Afterwords Don and Carl Sentance signed autographs and chatted for a good while to those wishing autographs, selfies etc. All in all a really enjoyable night out and well worth catching if you have the chance. A great live band.
