Pictures from Shizuoka

Kei Ono took some excellent pictures at the Whitesnake gig in Shizuoka on October 10.

There is more where it came from. Check out Kei’s Flikr gallery.

Fun fact: the night before, on October 9, Whitesnake headlined the second day of Loud Park 16, a two day festival in Saitama. An ex-snakeman Doug Aldrich played at the festival on October 9 with his current band The Dead Daisies. Another family tree member Ronnie Romero was also at the same festival the day before, on October 8, with his band Lords of Black.

Thanks to Akemi Ono for the info.

Do I see it right? Is this old lady using make up on her eye lids? Has she got false teeth and an operated nose? Does she still grope her crutch when singing (like she used to do when she was young)?

Great pics of DC up close and personal. Wish you got more of the total stage band shots. Great Purple related festival. Something that “Can’t Happen Here”. You are BLESSED!

    Leave Like A Legend
Nescafé is going after younger coffee drinkers with a tongue-in-cheek brand campaign to trumpet its Original brand.
Littered with all manner of visual trickery, the ad follows a man with flowing locks who – wait for it – swooshes his way through a shower of coffee beans before strutting down a street to the tune of Whitesnake’s Here I Go Again.
The campaign, devised by Publicis London, will try to empower people to feel like they “can leave the house like a legend every morning after a cup of Nescafé Original”, claimed the brand’s marketing director, Richard Howatson
Dave Monk, executive creative director at Publicis London said: “Nescafé Original have improved what’s inside the jar, so we’ve cranked up the advertising to match. The first telly ad in the ‘Leave Like a Legend’ campaign sets out the stall with some big bombastic daftness.
“We’ve basically taken the first four seconds of someone’s day and turned it up twenty notches, through the medium of coffee, lens flare, slo-mo and a soundtrack by Whitesnake.” http://www.thedrum.com/news/2016/10/11/nescaf-eyes-younger-coffee-drinkers-with-swooshy-man

David has been using eye shadow for so long it’s not true. I never quite understood why someone so obsessed with his manhood should want to do that, but here you go (again).

Cindy should tell him to get a haircut, let his grey grow out, leave the make up box with her and record an album of blues and soul standards with Rick Rubin as a producer. I believe it would actually sell.

DC will do a world tour on the back of those coffee ads you watch!
