Hughes/Thrall reunite in Vegas
Pat Thrall joined Glenn Hughes for a couple of songs at the latter’s gig in Las Vegas the other day. They performed Muscle and Blood and First Step of Love from their 1982 eponymous album.
Thanks to Alfredo Escalante for the video and Yvonne for bringing it to your attention.
Glenn is inspiring and inspired. The look on Pat Thrall’s face says it all.
September 5th, 2016 at 07:41The new DP album better be good, because no-one in the Purple family tree is anywhere near him at the moment for sheer performance and energy.
The gigs and the reviews from the just completed US tour are testament to the fact.
Ps I’m not a member of the GH fan club! LOL!
Glenn is getting better and better with age. I can’t wait for BCC new album next year and hoping to see him if he tours the Uk.
September 5th, 2016 at 11:01I had the pleasure of being there, it was Awesome!
September 5th, 2016 at 16:59The band was really tight and it was a great surprise to have Pat Thrall come out for a couple tunes!
Saw Glenn Hughes and Doug Aldrich in Singapore just before Christmas 2015 and it was spectacular. Hughes’ bass playing and vocal skills were superb and Aldrich fit right into the groove with some good crunchy guitar soloing. They played some old Purple Mark III classics along with some Hughes/Thrall stuff and what a show it was.
Now am really looking forward to the return of BCC!!
September 8th, 2016 at 00:00I really hope they one day finish the aborted Hughes Thrall 2 album I heard about five demos from it and it was outstanding. Also eagerly awaiting BCC 4 Good stuff to look forward to
