August 13th, 2015 at 19:19This will be fun ! And it’s nice to know that Ritchie is involved.
August 13th, 2015 at 19:45This page is to be commended for all you do as far as keeping Ritchie viable to those of us who are his fans. He left the band many years ago, and all but Paicey dislike him. Even so,he will ALWAYS BE THE FOUNDING MEMBER. Thanks for the updates.
August 13th, 2015 at 20:44Funny how Roger but not Ian Paice(nor Gillan if it’s gonna contain Roger who Ritchie has also fallen out with and spoken about it, recently cooled off with Gillan or not), makes one wonder when that was conducted, in-fact when any of them were, to use for this. An hour and a half to cover 1963 to 2015 is sure going to be a lot to pack into such a short time frame. I’m predicting a lot of Blackmore’s Night dedication, including live footage of them. I smell a concert ad promo platform for BN as a good part of this. But I suppose that’s par for the course, just nowhere near what he’s bets known for. I also notice they’re leaving out the name Candice here, oh you can bet she will be on this plenty.
August 14th, 2015 at 00:52Best, now spelled “bets,” but Phil also now spelled “Pbil.” And proper” misused in a sentence. 😀
August 14th, 2015 at 00:54I hope I will get a chance to see him play next year , some rock n roll

August 14th, 2015 at 10:52Yeah guys …
This is the beginning of the end of the career of Mr.Blackmore:
At first a retrospective video documentary with himself – the strat-master !!
Then will get what we want since 1997 … himself playing old Purple and Rainbow ROCK songs and it will be broadcast on CD / DVD (-: I hope – !! NO !! – I am sure 🙂
and maybe a new Blackmore (´s Night) album with a lot of rock´n´roll (I hope … !! YES !! … I hope)
and finished

Du træng ikke øl for å se Blackmore:-)
August 14th, 2015 at 14:57Never understand why he is never considered in the conversation with Hendrix beck and page among others im puzzled
August 14th, 2015 at 15:48Just checked the BBFC page and it’s 134 mins which is 2 hours and 14 mins. Looking forward to this.
August 14th, 2015 at 15:57@4, you could not be more wrong about that and no one yet knows when these interviews were conducted and from what sources. “Ritchie is no friend of mine, friends stay in touch.” Ian Paice. And btw, you missed roger, read it again.
August 14th, 2015 at 16:31I predict a lot of moaning. Oh wait, number 5 has said how funny it is. What is funny is how funny this site is anti Blackmores Night. get over it.
August 15th, 2015 at 23:41If this has recent interviews & decent footage, I will be interested. If it is going to be old interviews with padded out time wasting crap on it, count me out! Here’s hoping for the former indeed! Cheers.
August 16th, 2015 at 05:27Gene Simmons talking about somebody else rather than himself ?! shocking! The guy has GOD complex. lol
August 16th, 2015 at 20:58@13 Because in my book, he’s well above those mentioned in your post.
August 17th, 2015 at 03:39Ritchie underestimated rock guitarists of rock criticism, among rock fans the biggest, the most influential of all time, a successful leader as Deep Purple, Rainbow, Blackmore’s Night
August 17th, 2015 at 07:17A great artist, author, guitar players, a little weird)))) “but our unique Ritchie”
His influence was huge for the largest groups that came later
Iron Maiden energy, the sound, the atmosphere is based on the Rainbow song “Kill the King”, “Wrathchild” is a copy of “Stormbringers”, “Metallica riff characteristic” similar “Tarot Woman” with “Rising “album, etc., etc.
Each DP fan if thoughts come back rock wants to see it again Gillan, Glover, Airey, Paice, maybe on tour in fifty years Deep Purple 2018 !?
Blackmore, Morse, Gillan, Coverdale together on stage
I have a dream
I look forward to seeing this very much. There’s a finite amount of material out there about Ritchie and someday it will end. Each bit we get now is golden.
August 18th, 2015 at 19:49Well said Scott @16
I have seen Ritchie play live many times ( 70 plus) with Purple, Rainbow and Blackmores Night. His sheer presence on stage and his ability to create something special is second to none. I grew up with Led Zep and Purple etc and for me Ritchie will always be the best of his or any generation.
August 21st, 2015 at 11:02Thanks Alan @22. Wow, you have seen him 70 times?! I certainly am not implying RB is better (no such thing as better in my book , just a different ‘taste’) than the others, it’s just that he speaks to me on a higher level than Hendrix and Beck although I like them too. Schenker and Uli fill out my personal top 3!
August 23rd, 2015 at 18:09the heavy metal world needs rainbow come on come on ritchie …. bonnet on vocals bob dasley on the bass don airey keyboards and rondinelli on drums
August 24th, 2015 at 03:39When I was a kid back in the early 70’s, the question was always “who is your favourite guitarists”, NOT, “who is the best guitarist” Ritchie was my personal favourite then and remains so now. His influence has been massive over the years in terms of his playing, his image and his approach to writing and arranging. In terms of hard rock/heavy metal, he is one of the most important guitarists of all time… that’s for sure 🙂
August 24th, 2015 at 11:53Scott @23 and Jeff @25
Maybe I got a bit caried away with saying Ritchie is the best guitarist. Not being a musician who am I to know anyway ? Certainly for me there is no other that makes me feel as he does when I listen to his playing, either live or on album. Technically there is probbaly very little difference betwen Ritchie and say Page, Beck, Clapton or a host of other top class musicians. I have no idea why I relate to Ritchie over and above all those others but I do, and with his continuing to release albums on a reguilar basis I’m glad I do. I agree with you Jeff, Ritchie is my personal favourite and always will be.
August 25th, 2015 at 12:03I usually get bored stiffless listening to Clapton.
Sorry. 🙂
August 28th, 2015 at 17:56Rock @27
I mentioned Clapton as he is a great guitarist but like you I find him pretty boring nowadays. Ritchie is without a doubt my all time favourite
September 1st, 2015 at 12:23There is a 4DVD deluxe edition as well. I suspect it will add only previously released stuff from Purple or Blackmore´s Night though.
